What does this all mean to me? Most of us have heard our dental hygienist tell us "you need to floss more" but why and what does this really mean?
Most people have no idea why our gums bleed, and when they do, we feel like "somethings wrong" 
Here are the FACTS.....

• Bleeding and inflammation (puffy/swollen) are elicited by our body's immune response to try and "fight" the bacteria harboring along and below our gum lines.  This condition is known as "Gingivitis"
• Gingivitis is "IRREVERSIBLE" and CAN be achieved through CONSISTENT flossing and brushing.
• Without the mechanical removal of biofilm/plaque bacteria, the inflammatory response will continue and can eventually cause more serious implications like periodontal disease. 
  
• Ask your Dental Hygienist/Dentist about how they can help customize an oral health routine to bring your gums back to health!
