ENDODONTICS
AKA Root Canals
Years ago this procedure was known as the dreaded "root canal". It has a bad stigma associated with it's nature. This treatment is preformed on teeth that are dying or essentially dead. Simply put the nerve supply of the tooth has been compromised and no longer viable. This often shows itself with painful symptoms of swelling and abscessing. Early prevention is best when treating teeth with these conditions. A successful "root canal" can preserve the life of the tooth and your dental health. We are passionate about providing successful, comprehensive endodontic treatment for our patients through our in house Endodontist referral for over 10 years.
Dr. Rapp is our in house Endodontist who specializes in root canals. Originally from Montreal, he graduated with distinction from McGill University with a major in Anatomy and Cell Biology and a minor in Psychology.
In 2001, Dr. Rapp obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery from The University of Toronto. Upon graduation he was awarded the Edward G Dore Award. After seven years in private practice, Dr. Rapp re-entered academics and attended Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale to complete a two year specialty in Endodontics and was the recipient of The Dr. Robert Uchin Award.
Dr. Rapp is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada and a Diplomate of The American Board of Endodontics.
