Dr. Alethea Langan

Dr Alethea Langan was born in Toronto but moved to Oshawa shortly after. She attended the University of Ontario Institute of Technology for her undergraduate degree, where she was awarded the in-course scholarship for Academic Excellence after having the highest GPA in the Faculty of Science. She later gained early acceptance into the University of Toronto, where she completed her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2018. Shortly after graduation, Dr Langan joined the team at East Village Dental Centre, which quickly became her dental home. She is also very passionate about mental health, and as such, took a part-time position doing dentistry for patients at Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences.

Dr Langan dreamed of becoming a dentist from a young age. She always knew that she wanted to play an active role in helping others and ensure that everyone has a reason to smile.  She understands that the dental office can be a stressful experience for some, and as such, she tries to make each appointment as calming, comfortable, and as enjoyable as possible. She strives to build long-lasting relationships with patients, while educating them and having their best interests at heart; she treats every patient as though they are her family. She is passionate about all aspects of dentistry, including restorative, crown and bridge, implants, endodontics, and prosthodontics.

When she is not at the office, Dr Langan continues to enjoy keeping busy and working with her hands, regularly starting different projects around the house. She spends most of her free time with her family and pets. She thoroughly enjoys travelling, hiking, and tries to spend as much time in nature as possible. She is always eager to learn new things and has recently started playing hockey again.
